You latch mechanism could be broken or came apart, common to any vehicle.. open the cover to the back and you will see the locking mechanism, once the rear cover open you can find the latch and open it form the inside. once you get the door open you can play with the door handle by pulling on it like you opening the door and you can observed what actually connect to what to operate the latch. if small rod attached from the door handle to the lock could pop off or broken. may have to replace the handle, depend if its broken or came apart. should be 30 buck for the new handle if needed..hope that help some..good luck

2000 cadillac deville driver side won't open with the key

1) Key turns but dose not unlock door. This means that the rod that goes to the back of the lock has came off. This also means that is the reason door is not unlocking with the remote as it pops the lock rod inside the door which pushes the lock open.
2) Key does not turn lock at all but works passengers side door. This means that the locks has been changed in the door, but that doesn't sound like the problem as you say the remote doesn't open the drivers side door so more than likely the rod has came off the back of the lock

I have a 99 Chevy tahoe and I just for my spark plugs changed yesterday and now all of a sudden my radio won't play any sound. Don't think that has anything to do with it but its weird how it just...

Unfortunately it sounds like there is a cross somewhere shorting out the speakers. It may be in the door where the wire comes in due to the change when opening and closing. As far as during acceleration the only thing I can think of is if it is grounding against the chasis somehow. That is a tough one, but I would also double check any fuses and connections and make sure everything is secure.

2000 tahoe horn honks when driver door is open with key. Keyless entry is not working.

(Inside the drivers door on the door latch is a switch called the door ajar micro switch, it is defective. With no signal from this switch the system triggers the alarm system. You must have this switch input checked, it can be the switch or the wiring to it that is defective.

2007 Chevy Tahoe rear door won't open

If the contacts that go to the door lock are corroded the switch will not work. Spray WD-40 from inside the vehicle into the space between truck and the door on the passenger side. A few squirts near the high to middle of the side of door should give enough conductivity to energize the lock.

My back doors wont open

If your back doors won't open from the inside then the child proof locks maybe turned on. Open the door from the outside and look at the edge of the door near the lock for a small lever or screw setting for the child proof lock. Tun off the child proof lock and then you can open the back door from the inside.

2002 chevy tahoe gas cap door wont stay closed

Hello Matthew, Check the hinge on the door and the retainer latch button inside of the filler neck area. Sometimes they stick and won't pop out back out to keep the fuel door latched properly. You can lube the hinge & latch with WD40 to free it up. I have seen this happen a few times on a Blazer. Hopefully, this is all you need. I hope this information is helpful.
