I have a 2006 e350 4matic that jerks when speedometer reaches 20 mph when its cold.

The car jerks when the speedometer reaches 20 mph cold and 40 mph when the engine is warm. Additionally, all of the lights on the dash will appear for a second. This happens when accelerating and speed gets to 20 or 21 mph. Once the engine is warm, the jerking will not occur at 20 mph it will happen infrequently around 40 mph. The ESP malfunction light wasn't coming on initially, now it is coming on whenever it jerks.

SOURCE: car jerking at 45 mph

sounds like you might have a misfiring spark plug or faulty wire

SOURCE: my car is jerking while accelerating and reaching certain RPM

I would look for a fault in the ignition system such as a cracked spark plug. Might need a scope check to put your finger on the problem

It sounds like there may be an issue with your ignition system.

Check the ignition wires, distributor cap, spark plugs.

Why wont my 97 plymouth grand voyager shift into fourth gear at 40 mph?

Sticking valves. When is the last time you had the transmission serviced? Since it will shift when cold, I would suspect a valve body issue.

Speedometer gives false reading after car warms up

Check that the body ground is clean and tight. I'm talking of the connection to your instrument panel. This connection be loose or corroded can make for improper impulses and incorrect readings. Lower impulses at lower speeds may be correct because it doesn't need the power as much for slower impulses. Only makes sense.

Speedometer error?

Many cars have an error on the speed indicated. 10% sounds quite high, next time you buy tyres go for one size bigger or the next profile up, eg, if you are using 70 series go to 75 or 80. That will sort your problem out and you will get better fuel consumption. You can have the speedo calibrated but I would thing that the cost or effort wonuldn't justify the result.
