Turn lights clicking noise

Battery appeared to be weak. Replaced alternator. Truck had to be jumped off. Drove 10 miles then head lights went out. Then dash gauges went out except for a blinking ABS light and over drive light. This morning cab lights work but when key is turned the gauges do not work abs light flickers and makes clicking noise.

Without testing the electronic's , hooking up a professional type scan tool an checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's etc ... we'd only be guessing . Probably the instrument cluster, but that is just a guess . Are you aware that the instrument cluster has a microprocessor an logic . Serial data communication network the modules share info. on ? Your vehicle has 10 or more modules (computers ) . What's the voltage at the battery terminals with the vehicle running ? Viewing wiring diagrams for electrical distribution an testing with a DMM - digital multi-meter would be a next step in the diagnostic procedure ,if no code's !
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know

Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on instrumentation . Click the search button then the blue link. Pull the instrument cluster ,with it still connected to the vehicle , check power an ground circuit's .

SOURCE: abs light on

I'm a Ford service adviser. There are many reasons for the
abs warning indicator to come on. The usual cause is from a
faulty speed sensor. Either a wheel speed sensor or the
differential speed sensor. I don't think the light is related to your vandalism. You might want to take the truck to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for you. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.
Good Luck

SOURCE: lights and speedometer acting weird

Actually the Speedo is controlled by the PCM I would pull the NEGATIVE battery cable for 30 minutes and then hook it back up. this will reset the PCM.

SOURCE: Air Bag Light, Brake Light, & ABS Light came on in the dashboard.

Check and see if your alternator is charging
Low voltage will cause those lights to come on, as the computer is shutting down.

To check your alternator you will need a volt meter... WITH the engine running you should have about 14 volts coming out. IF NOT you need to replace the Alternator!

SOURCE: 95 F250 not starting

You said you tightened the battery cables, did you check the other end of the negative where it bolts to the engine. When you tightened the cables you also used a battery brush and cleaned the posts and ends?

You have a possible issue with the voltage regualtor inside of your alternator.
You can drive to Autozone & have them test for under voltage & overvoltage condition, appears to be a voltage regulator failing.

I need a fuse and relay diagram for a 1995 buick lesabre, car cut off (no power), it will not jump off either, making a clicking noise behind the glove compartment , is it electrical , the alternator , it...

The fuses and relays are on the back fire wall under the hood.Just remove the plastic cover. This is not a fuse problem but more than likely a bad battery or charging system problem.Check the battery.Have it load tested and have your charging system tested also.Make sure all the cable connections on the battery and alternator are all clean and tight.Hope this helps.Good luck.

My 95 ford thunderbird started right up in the morning, i drove it about 10 miles and shut it off about an hour later i went to start it and it made a loud click and it wouldnt start, nothing works like...

check battery cable for tightness and no corrosion.if all is well charge the battery or jump start it. while engine running check to see if the alternator is charging it.it should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts while engine idling.turn off engine battery voltage should be 12.5. if drops to 11.0 to 10.0 volts.battery is weak.if car running the voltage should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts alternator is charging. if the voltage is 11.8 to 11.0 volts. alternator is not charging.

91 Cressida won't start

Lead acid batteries can "die" catastrophically. This is actually not all that uncommon. If the battery is new, it should be under warranty. I would take it back, and have them test it. It it fails, which I believe it will, then there is the problem. If it passes, then your alternator is probably bad. The chances of it being your alternator are slim as you did jump the car off, and drive it for a while. If the battery is too weak to start the car, it will not maintain vehicle operation very long without help from the alternator.
