I have a 2001 grand am se 1 the radio was removed

You can find the wiring diagram for your car in the Repair Manual for your car at any auto parts store. Autozone carries them . They are called the Haynes Auto Repair Manual. The wiring diagram will be in the back of the Manual. Also if there are any colleges or trade schools in your area that have courses for Auto Mechanics, most of them also repair cars. They usually do not charge a labor charge, only a charge for the parts needed for the repair and a small shop fee. If this applies to you, call them asap and they will be able to help you. Hope this helps.

2001 grand am se1 factory radio wiring

The person asking this question has a PONTIAC GRAND AM SE, NOT a Grand Prix. (Not the same car).If you will go to any local auto parts store they will carry the repair manual for your car. The repair manual has the wiring diagram for all the wiring in your car in the back part of the manual. It will be called the HAYNES Auto Repair Manual for the year of your Pontiac Grand Am SE. I just dont understand how some people can be so ignorant as to excessively cut wiring out of a car when they dont even know what they are doing. Go figure. lol. If there is a college or a trade school in your area that has courses for auto mechanics , most of them repair cars also. They usually do not charge a labor charge, they only charge for the parts needed to repair a car and also a small shop fee. If this is the case in your area give them a call asap. They can help you. I used to have a 2002 Pontiac grand Am SE 1. I now have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE 1 and I am going to sell it. If you need any more help just respond back. Hope this helps.

I have a 2001 pontiac grand am and once i plug in the stock stereo the door chime sounds but when i turn the car off and take the keys out of the ignition the door chime still sounds!! How do you fix

Chimes are generated by the radio. Unplugging the radio and then plugging it in can activate the security feature in the radio and is very unwise. You can try resetting it by disconnecting the negative battery wire, then plugging the radio in and reconnecting the battery wire. If that doesn't work, check with a dealer to see if they can reset it, but if the radio has been damaged by what you are doing, you may have to replace it.

Curtosity light wont work

more than likely you have blown a fuse. check fuses first and check back. ususally the courtesy light and radio are on same fuse. Next time remove ground from battery before installing any electrical equipment...trust me...it just saves a lot of aggro and money

Car wont stay Running,Door wont Lock-Unlock, Radio dont work and Trunk Pop don't work

It appears that you have an electrical short somewhere. If you are mechanically inclined and have hours of time and electrical knowledge, good luck! Sometimes these problems can be easily found where the wiring harness runs through the firewall from the fuse panel under the dash to the engine compartment relay box. Vibrations of the engine over time on a vehicle over 10 years old will chafe the wires over time on places where the wires lay over body frame components. Also heat and time on a cars wiring harness over a decade can damage wiring in the engine compartment or along exhaust manifold underneath. Try looking in those places for visible damage before tearing out all the interior or dash.

I just installed a new stereo in my 2001 mitsubishi galant. Now my dash lights don't work along with the lights by my right arm that illuminate the parking, neutral, and driving states. A rear tail light...

Not to bash on you or anything, but alot of people try to save money and not buy the pigtail for the stereo that will plug into the cars harness and the radio. they start cutting wires and start haveing other problems. The stores should push more to purchase these pigtails. now days everything in your car is a computer. even your instrument panel is a computer. cut the wrong wire and let it short and you have problems. you may have to replace the instrument panel to fix your problem. you can have it checked at a shop
