I replaced my multifunction switch, checked the headlight switch and still had no low beams (DRL worked). I found a bad connection on the under dash connector for the steering column (e12). cleaned the melted plastic from the body-side connector, and it solved the problem.

How do I replace low beam headlamp for 2000 GMC safai passenger van

open hood and look down inside front you will see wires going to the front lights you will need to turn the plastic lock ring counterclockwise then when that is done gently pull out the bulb and socket take out old bulb and put in new one dont touch the new one with hands use cloth to put in oils from hands make the bulbs burn out faster also there should be two bulbs in your vehicle one high beam one low look to see if outside is low by turning on headlights before changing bulb

2002 gmc safari head light won't work on low beam but will work on high beam

First check, is there more than one headlight bulb, if so, the low beam bulb has failed, needs replacing.

If not you'll probably find that the head light bulb has a double filament, low and high beam. The low beam filament has failed. You have to replace the bulb.

My left headlight highbeam light works and the lowbeam don't why

the filament on the low beam burnt out. but the high beam didn't. You have a filament for each. 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam in the same light bulb. You need a new head light.
