the fuel pump is electric and it is located inside the gas tank, the gas tank must be removed from the car to replace the pump, also replace the fuel filter while you are under the car.

Rear of the vehicle by the fuel tank...by the frame rail:



Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) at the in-line fuel filter and return pipe (2) near the in-line fuel filter



Squeeze the plastic tabs of male end connector of fuel filter

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. On these GM cars, the fuel tank must be dropped in order to change the pump. It is alos recomended that the fuel filter be changed at the same time which is on the frame of the vehicle, left side. the pump at autozone runs about $75 and don't forget the strainer for about $10. The filter runs about$10 also.

The fuel filter should be on the frame rail on the right side below the passengers door area.Just follow the fuel lines from the motor or the fuel tank.

It is located on the drivers side bottom UNDER the car right in front of the rear wheel.

Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on chassis in fuel lin.

fuel filter should be in engine compartment near the top of the engine as it should be accessed and changed with every service.

the fuel filter is located on drivers side underneath car connected to frame in front or rear wheel

I just changed mine and found it behind the front passenger side tire! Mine is a v-8 4.9 liter.
