Plugs are in the center of the valve cover. Remove the coils. use a 5/8 inch or 16 MM socket to unscrew them , magnet to get them out. They do make spark plug sockets. I don't use them because they tend to stay on the spark plug.
check the timming, check spark plugs, check compression of the cylinders, check spark plug wires and if all else fails replace the ignition coil module
assuming you have v6 3.0 you have to remove air intake, then there are 5/16' nut holding on ing. coil remove nut lift out spark plug is way down in hole.......
there is no wires on a 2005 focus ..theres coil packs
the plugs are right on top of the motor .remove the retaining screw with a 5/16 nut driver and pull up on the rubber boot . use a extention and a 5/8 spark plug socket to remove the sparkplug ..repeat for the other three....
