2000 Honda Odyssey. Parking lights and dash lights will not turn off. Have to remove fuse to shut them off. Started with blinkers not working followed by the dash and parking lights going out. Had someone replace the fuse. Found out the fuse they replaced it with was too large. The trailer light wires started to smoke and the fuse was removed immediately then replaced with the correct size. Now the dash and parking lights are permanently on. Anybody have any idea how to resolve this problem?

Parking lamps and tail lamps blows fuse, dash lights don't work

First thing I would check is all frame grounds... like the negative battery cable and the grounding strap on the passenger side motor Mount to the wheel hub. In any electrical system, lights draw more current than anything (except the battery) when you turn them on... Check the grounds!

Parking and dashboard lights don't work on my 2003 Honda Odyssey. Checked the fuse and it's fine. Relays work too. Headlights, brake lights and turning signals are not affected.

This is an electrical issue. .you may need to check fuse box for loose connections or it might be grounds or short to voltage.

Dashboard lights and rear exterior running lights not working. blinkers, flashers, and brake lights work. regular tail lights won't work. Not finding a blown fuse. not finding any fuse listed as "tail...

the fuse is labled 'brake'

I would replace the fuse... and then have someone stand to the rear of the vehicle and watch the lights come on as I applied the brake... if the fuse blows again... note which tail light did NOT come on durring this test and replace the bulb.. it is grounding to itself and causing the short.

Have a honda odessey 2000. needs a new DRL relay; but cant find it under the dash _any ideas _

the daytime running lights control unit is behind the glove box. You must first remove the glove box to access the control unit. However, the fuses that supply power to control unit functions are accessible in several fuse boxes. the No. 3 and 8 fuses (15A) and No. 14 fuse (40A) in the engine compartment fuse box, the No. 5 fuse (7.5A) in the driver's kick panel fuse box, and the No. 6 fuse (10A) in the passenger's kick panel fuse box all supply power in some way to the DRL unit. Other inputs that can affect the DRL system include a faulty parking brake switch, faulty combination light switch, faulty headlight relays or blown bulbs, and even the brake fluid float switch.
