I was driving and my altenator went out and the fuse under the dash labeled "meter" also blew. Replaced the altenator and fuse and started driving and then the car died. Now the altenator and the fuse have died again, i dont know what to do now i can get a new altenator but if i dont know what is blowing my fuse i assume it will fry the new altenator also. i have 4 kids and this is my only source of transportation making threw the couple days i have is becomming and impossible task plz help me

You have a short on black and white wire coming from the atlternator to the inside fuse box trace the wire and you will find your problem i am send you the wire diagram in the next few minutes to help.

yes you can cut the wire and run it straight to the fuse box but your gauge or charge light will not work but it will charge

can i run a wire directly from the meter fuse to the alternator? i cant trace the wire all the way it locks into other wires that are attached under the exhaust manifold
