Sounds like more than one problem.
The ABS light is on to tell you the abs system is disabled due to a problem. Same goes for the traction control which could be related to the abs system problem. Both systems have to work together.
The temp gauge issue could be a faulty thermostat or the cooling system could be low on anti-freeze.
The shifting problem could be related to either system.

I had the same problem with ABS light and speedometer, I was told that it is the transmission control module. It has not yet stopped shifting but I have had times where it just wont stay running. It will start and then stall. Hope this helps.

I WOULD NOT KEEP DRIVING IT.WHEN ABS LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON.YOU HAVE BRAKE FAILURE. TOW IT TO DEALERSHIP HAVE IT SERVICE.AND CHECK THE ABS BRAKES SYSTEM .BECAUSE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM IS NOT A HOME FIX.BECAUSE THE ABS HYDRAULIC MODULATOR UNIT HAS LOWER FROM HOME POSITION .IN ORDER TO MOVE THE MASTER CYLINDER FROM UNIT.YOU NEED A TECH 2 SCANNER TO DO THE JOB.TO GET ABS BRAKES TO BLEED RIGHT BEST TO GET THEM PRESSURE BLEED INSTEAD OF MANUAL BLEEDING GET LESS AIR IN SYSTEM.THAT WHY SEE DEALER SHIP HAS THE THINGS TO DO THE JOB.

SOURCE: mazda 626 (2000) ABS light comes on sometimes

Try the folllowing: 1. Check the clearance between the wheelspeed sensor and the sensor rotor, must be between 0.3 - 1.1mm. 2. Disconnect wheel speed sensor connector and check the resistance at the ABS wheel speed sensor, must be beween 1.4 - 1.8Kω.

Mazda 6 abs light on, temperature gauge goes up, hard shifting ATX.

Dont think so here the ABS is a seperate computer, have you washed the car by any chance with a jet wash on the wheels this will often clean the sensors on the wheels for the ABS making the light go out

Transmission

Sounds like one of the vehicle speed sensors is bad. Either that or ABS unit might have a problem. Auto trans normally use the main speed sensor, but shiftronic/sportronic/etc. usually also use the ABS unit to monitor all 4 wheels to be able to make the best shift possible when you ask it to. So check sensor operation, wires and whatnot, if everything is fine, try to get a friend or someone who can do datalogging from OBD2 port to see if the sensor are being read correctly by the ABS and ECU. If readings in datalog don't seem right and sensors are all good, then you will know the ABS unit or ECU will need replacing.

Mazda 626 1999 Gxi - abs light comes on

Sounds like a dry caliper(if disc brakes) or dry wheel cylinder (if drum). Some times a good cleaning goes a long way but may take some disassembling to do it.
