Car heating issues in very frigid temps

It may be a faulty thermostat that is binding in colder weather. The thermostat opens and closs controlling the flow of the coolant. It almost completey keeps the coolant from circulating until reaching a pre determined temperature opening and closing to maintain that temp.It could be sticking wide open and colder temps thus moving the coolant too fast not allowing it tom remain in the engine block long enough to be heated.

Temperature gauge staying on C

first thing i would do is the simplist, and change the thermostat. if that doesnt help, then you may need to backflush the heater core, because sometimes these will plug up.

A/c blows warm air when idle, when vehicle accelerated blows cold air. what gives?

when a vehicle stops but is still running it produces a lot of heat, since you still feel some cold air from your ac ,it is working, however maybe not up to par or its just not as much as you would like. The reason it feels cooler when you are driving is the ability to get rid of the heat from the motor because the airflow pulls away the heat from the engine and helps the cooling system.

My heat is not working that good. When it gets colder outside and my car's temp gauge goes down, the less heat I seem to get out of the system. When the car is idling at a stop is when the heat starts...

Your thermostat is probably stuck open, not allowing the engine to warm up to its normal operating temperature. The coolant circulates all the time, so the radiator is constantly dumping all of that heat. Replace the thermostat, and your problem should get better. You may even consider installing a higher temperature thermostat if you live in a colder climate.

temp should stay about half while driving sounds like you have a bad thermostat if guage is half way at idle do you have heat feel both heater hoses should be about same temp if one is cooler not flow coolant

Check the air cabin filter located outside under the vent where the wipers are. Should be the passenger side. Probably dirty.

2006 ford f-250 diesel with no heat

it takes quite a while for a diesel to warm up by just idling in order to produce any heat.you have to put them under a load (drive it), before you will get any noticeable heat.if you have a block heater, plug it in 4-5 hours before you plan on driving it and that will definitely help produce interior heat quicker.
