The starter solenoid contacts need to be replaced. if contacts are good better put a relay to the solenoid.

Where is the starter relay located for my 2003 Toyota Corolla?

Why do think its a relay??
if it is a single click or sometimes no click noise when turning the key it is the starter itself.
If it is a repetitive click it could only be the battery.
If you hear a click, this is the relay you are asking about, however it is extremely rare for a Toyota.
Please have someone help you with the next step. Get a long metal rod or long pry bar about 2' long and a hammer.
Locate the starter, it will be on the driver side of a left hand drive vehicle between the engine and the transmission.
Set one end of the rod on the body of the starter and tap the other end firmly with the hammer. You don't have to kill it. At the same time as you do this, your helper will be in the car holding the key in the fully start position, don't touch the gas as it may flood the motor.
in mant cases this may start the car.
If you live in a cold climate where they use salt on the roads, there is a small chance there could be a bad ground to the starter but only a 2% chance of this.
of you are handy and can remove the starter yourself, you should check the starter contacts inside the starter.
these copper contacts are usually the only thing that wear on a Toyota reduction type starter. And are not vert difficult to replace if you are comfortable with this level of technical expertise.
Or you can order a new starter from your Toyota dealer as you already know the last one was good for 11 years and they usually have a less expensive rebuilt starter available for your corolla.

1999 jeep cherokee sport cranks wont crank

Most likely is intermittent in starter solenoid relay

Next most likely is key switch start connection intermittent. a tester will have to be used to find where the power is being lost from the start terminal of ignition switch to starter solenoid pilot connection to the main starter output power from solenoid to starter main contactor.

1994 Camry won't start, other times starts right off, battery or starter problem

I'd really need to know if it cranks OK. If it cranks but won't fire, I'd suspect the EFI main relay of sticking. Take that out and tap it, then replace.

If it won't crank, and then does, I think the main contacts at the bottom of the starter solenoid are worn out. Intermittent operation is typical of that.

Suzuki sidekick 1997 Sport 1.8 liter manual transmission AC power steering. Will start intermittently.

Have you checked coil/coils. Some Suzuki have two coils. When it is on way out it will start itermittenly until finally it won't start at all. Can go on for sometime doing this. I believe coil relays power to starter. Coil
fault often attributed to starter in correctly. Hope this helps.

When you say it won't start, do you mean it cranks but won't fire, or it just won't crank? If it just won't crank, you could be having an issue with the starter relay. The often become intermittent before failure. Many owners do not know there is a starter relay because it was added as a recall item i order to protect the iginition switch from burnout. The starter relay is located in the very front of the engine compartment, just to the left of the battery, on the back side of the radiator crossmember.

My 01 did the same thing, it was the main relay in the fuse box. Try taking the headlight relay and switching it with the main. If that fixes it might want to keep a few on hand, my most recent relay went out was the c/fan which in turn overheated the engine and the fan melted off the motor.
