I don't know if this would be considered a solution or not but in 2006 Ford implemented a new transmission (6 speed automatic) and they have and still have a lot of problems. It is fixed (helped may be more appropriate) by a computer upgrade done by the dealership. MY wife has had nothing but problems out of her 2006 limited ford explorer. The whole computer system had to be replaced at 32,000 miles and then they charged us to upgrade the new computer they put into the car. It's almost comical at this point. The transmission problem has been solved for the most part on our vehichle but it took several ford computer updates. I hope this helps!

Probably your air conditioning turning off which means less load on the motor plus a few more revs. You then need to put more effort on the brake pedal or the car will go forward. It's like putting your foot on the accelerator pedal.

2010 subaru forester engine cuts out

consider this
when at the stop lights , you will have your foot on the brake as it will still be in drive or in gear and you don't want the car to move
a simple test is to apply the hand brake to stop the car and don't touch the foot brake
if it idles ok but cuts out when you apply the foot brake , replace the brake booster as it has a vacuum leak that is causing the problem
you can do this test in the garage by starting in neutral and allowing the engine to idle , then apply the foot brake
iof it dies it is the booster

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram and I have a deceleration jump/vibration at around 50-40 mph. When the brake is lightly applied it happens, when heavy brake applied it stops. I'm thinking front whell bearings

The front rotors are warped, the reason you feel it when lightly braking is because the pads are just brushing the high spots as they come by. Heaving braking will lock them in tighter and you will not notice it. They have to take the rotors off to turn them so they can check the wheel bearings at the same time and replace or pack them. Just have the rotors turned if they are not worn under the federal limits. If they are worn too bad you will have to replace them.

When I apply brakes to stop at light or sign in my 2000 ford expedition back brakes lock up and wheels skid, truck will not drive forward until you shut truck off and wait a few minutes then put it in

Check the adjuster springs and the adjuster for the back breaks. If those are broke, weak, or missing they will need replaced. If it's 4-wheel disc it might be bad calipers or anti-lock brake controller.

When you apply brakes the vehicle stops then lunges forward

your brake pads could be low and this causing this issue... Replace the pads.. There should be about 1 CM of "meat" on both the inner and outer pad

Car jumping when brake is applied

I'm pretty sure that your front rotors are warped. Is tis problem only happening when you apply the brakes? If it is, replace the front pads and get new rotors. Be sure when you install the front tires back on, torque the wheels to 90 lbs.
