Runs for 20 seconds then dies

Jeep was dying so I changed fuel filter. It ran find for about 1/2 an hr then started dying again. It now runs for about 20 seconds then dies

Tryreplacing tfuel pump or at least have the PSI checked. a failing fuel pump will get worse and worse until dead. What happens is when the pump heats up it stars putting out less and less fuel until it starts to sputter and then die. When it cools off it runs fine again until it heats up again. Fuel cools the pump so make sure you have half a tank on hot days but sounds like it finally just gave out.

Check the fuel pump, make sure it is putting out proper pressure if not then change the fuel pump

Sounds like a fuel problem??On the chasis rail back near the fuel tank there is a fuel filter that is often overlooked.Get that checked and I hope that is the only problem.If it is not.Come back to me and I may be able to help

does your jeep run rough? idle is real low? and when you are driving and push the gas hard it doesnt want to move? if so it is most likely the mass air flow sensor. i had to replace that 2 or 3 times on my 1999 jeep cherokee

Jeep not starting

You should check the carburator or the fuel intake to see if its cloged and if it has a fuel line filter check it to also see if its cloged. Also check the battery for any corrosion on the terminals that could reduce current to the starter.

Jeep start runs for a minute then stalls.

Put a new fuel filter on its pluged up. if that dosent fix it do a fuel pressure test.
