My stereo stop working, when playing CD, it displays that its playing a track but does not produce sound, same with the radio, it displays the radio channel playing but does not bring out sound. The sound not not come on, and the volume button does not move, either increase or decrease

U don't have to remove anything, just get a laser lens cleaning disk from any store that carries music CD's Walmart has them for about $6

Your radio might be shorting out. I would make sure the ground wire hasn't come off.

Error one indicates a bad laser pickup, or a calibration issue. I would recommend a CD cleaner, but, if that does not help, the radio will need to be taken to an authorized service center. The 01 code is rather common to those radios.

It 's the unit. bring it to a repair facility( fairly easy to remove) and have them do the repair . Its a lot cheaper than buying a new unit. If you decide to do this let me know and I'll tell you how to remove and install the unit.
