1988 GMC Sierra K1500 4x4 350 V8 wont start.

I was driving one day and i tried to start the truck but it hit 3 times then died and hasn't started since. I've put in a new coil pack, rotor, and distributer cap. I just put in a new distributer and it still wont start.
Someone please help.

    Have cleaned egr valve put knew distributer in it and ecm

Check to see if you getting fuel and spark.

    check fuel pressure first.if all is good.replace ignition module in distributor.

If you have a coil pack on that .You have a crankshaft censer.Change the crank censer.

I have a 2000 gmc s1500 z71 5.3 v8. I think i need a new fuel pump but not sure, Some days it startes up,Sometime it starte's and dies wont crank up till i jar the gas tank.Thanks Clay
yep,that sounds like the fuel pump is getting hung up on the bearings.don't forget to put a new fuel filter on too!
you'll see the blackness of the fuel that got stuck in the filter.

I had to replace the mass air flow sensor. $ 150. the engine would shut off when driving too.changed fuel filter only worked for a day. The sensor is just after air filter.

I own a 93 GMC and I have had this happen a few times, First its a chevy they are cold blooded take a bit to warm up and get heat. That and im sure the oil had not warmed up and gotten up to the top end. Let it warm up then try it out.
