Check fuel pressure at the injector rail. Could be your fuel pump relay is cutting out. If fuel pressure is good, check for sparks at the plug wires. Read the link below for more info. Do It Yourself Diagnosis and Repair
have you check fuel pump fuses and relay when you turn key do you hear pump did you bleed air out of fuel lines after pump replacement is it getting spark to plugs when the car died the first time how did it die were you driveing it was there any check engine lights on
When you turn the key on can you hear the fuel pump??? Does the engine sound normal when turning over(compression)??? Then check for spark, fuel pressure, injector signal etc.
Its called the fuel pump cylinoide which is attached to the fuel pump. Unless the fuel pump is bad, you got an expensive part to buy around $2500 or the cylinoide is $900 whichever is broken. This is a know issue for GMC deisel suburbans 6.5.
Theres only one fuel pump relay, unless you have dual tanks. Be sure you have 55-60 psi fuel pressure. I "think" the oil pressure switch supplies power to the fuel pump after the engine is running.
By any chance do you have an aftermarket alarm installed in the truck?
