DASHBOARD LIGHTS OUT ON 1994 LS400 LEXUS

Forgot a wire that hooks to either ground or positive terminals. might have dropped out of site while swapping out batteries.

is it connected properly? if so check your fuses and see what is blown.

It's more likely a fuse is blown, the tail lights are on the same fuse as the dash illumination, check the tail lights if they are not working replace the fuse marked 'tail' in the fuse panel on the inside at the left side of the dash under the cover. At the same time check the 'gauge' fuse', there is a fuse location diagram on the cover.

Probably time for a new battery.

according to Lexus ls400 (1991 -1994)factory serrvice manual, you have two speed sensors.in most of cars speed information gathered from trasnmission output shaft. (some of them gathers same info from differential if it is rear wheel drive) first one supplies required information to dashboard. second one is supplementary. if first broken second supllies required info.

play with the dimmer , may have loose contact.

you will have to replace the complete speed/tack
asy. they are know for going out. very common.try internet for good deals on reman units.
