1994 cevy caprice station wagon, engine check light come on only when wet outside,car stalls and dies.After a while light goes off and i drive then the same thing happens, only when the weather is wet..

I had similar problems with my 91 caprice. As a last ditch effort I changed the oxygen sensor. That fixed it instantly. The old sensor did not throw a code... GO FIGURE!! And at $20, it's a fix that won't break the bank. Just be warned, my old O2 sensor was cross threaded into the exhaust manifold :(

No there is not a vacuum modulator.

Did u replace temp sensor with old one from bad motor? sounds like u did.....if so replace temp sensor..it should be located around thermostat area....also have electric fan checked....could also be bad from old motor

One cause of the light to come on randomly is a loose gas cap. If it's not replaced tightly (turned until it clicks three or four times) it throws the light on. It's one thing to check anyway.
