One week ago the car start giving trouble to start had to put gas into the combustion chamber it will start and work good once i cut off it will not start back until the engine gets cool did a computer chick they say its the fuel pump on the head i buy one and change it and the problem remain the same. now its not starting no matter what i do. IT's a 1997 gdi vrg 18.3mitsubishi galant
Pressure guage should stay after you turn-off the ignition switch. check also if your engine has a cold start injector. it may be restricted.

Be sure you scroll down to the ones for all engines. The top few are for 2.4 Liters only. It is an in tank fuel pump and you'll have to drop the tank to install.

Hey have you tried disconnecting and re connecting the battery? my mitsi carisma startd doing that so i rang up dealer and aparently they do it when the computer thinks there is something wrong with the engine, so it enters slow mode (or turtle mode or something) so that minimal damage is done while you drive it slowly to yr mechanic. Could be complettly wrong tho. Good luck.
