Wiring for cooling system ? You mean cooling fans ? 1.6 ? This vehicle has 1.8 L or 1.9 L . This cooling system has two electric cooling fans . Three relays , cooling fan power relay , cooling fan hi speed relay an the low speed cooling fan relay. The powertrain control module controls these relays. a relay in most cars should be under the hood. the fuse is usually on the drivers side under the dash in a black box. in my Taurus that's where mine are.
This car has a relay module that contains a few relays internally and cant be serviced the relay box must be replaced, the relay box module that contains the fan and ac compressor and fuelpump relays is located under the air filter box, remove the filter box and you will see the relay module bolted there. hope this helps.
Did you check the parts before replacement? Check if there is power supply to the fan when engine is hot and the fan should start. Also check the temperature sensor or the automatic fan switch located below the radiator, it may be faulty.
the cooling fan high and low speed relays are locacated in side the constant control relay module also called the (CCRM) its located in the engine compartment behind the drivers head light
there is a relay in the junction box under the hood if the cooling fan is not coming on when the engine is at 180 degress you can take the a/c clutch relay and switch it with the fan relay. if the fans come on it's the relay if it still doesn't it's the temp sensor on the fan unit....please rate this
