SOURCE: Where can find a fuse panel diagram for a 1986

You should be able to find a fuse panel diagram in the back of any repair manual(Haynes) which you can get at any auto parts store. The fuse panel in the glove box is for your fan and air conditioning. The other fuse panels are general. Your truck should be a 22r carborated motor unless altered.

On a 1986 Toyota sr5 what size amp fuse do I need for the altanater to battery fuse

Not sure what you mean when you say "alternator to battery" fuse. There are a couple of fuses that can cause a charging system problem but most of them will also cause the vehicle not to start. Looking through wiring diagrams I did find one fuse that deals directly with the charging system and I hope this is the one you're talking about. Below is a picture of one of the fuse /relay panels under the hood of the vehicle. I marked the fuse. If this is the fuse you are talking about, it should be a 7.5 amp fuse. If this isn't the fuse you are talking about, you can reply/comment here with more detailed information on exactly what fuse you are talking about and I should be able to let you know. I hope this is the right fuse and I hope this helps......

1991 toyota pickup lost fuse panel cover

from the bottom with fuse 1 being closest to the door
1 - Radio 7.5A , Wiper 20A , Engine 10A , Next row up - cig lighter 15A , Gauges 10A , Ignition 7.5A , Next row up Turn 10A , Stop 10A , Tail lights 10A , Next row up Defog 15A.

However if you just want to install a CB find an ignition live under the bonnet and run it from there with an inline fuse or direct from the battery using the same. You will not flatten the battery as if the CB is off it draws no power. Another option is to piggy back the ignition live from the radio cassette !.
