Yes, 2008 VW Beetle has cruise control. It operates from the turn signal arm.

best thing is that even if you do find the right match it will look newer than old part, and that sucks, most paint places will try to match color, but, will still look newer

Any independent VW repair shop for lower repair cost compared to a dealer. They will order the part for you and install it. If painting is involved, you'll need to bring it to a body shop so the can color match the pait to the part, this doesn't necessarily be a specific VW auto-body shop but it might speed things up since they have more resources for part hunting.

all vw cars have a computer on board that controls a fuzzylogic gearbox.the racier you drive the higher the revs before upchange and vise versa ie low/low change so the harder you drive the more noticable the gearshift will be in auto mode.manual mode will always be jerky compared to a std auto box.THE JOYS OF NEW TECHNOLOGY.....

Your best bet is to call & speak directly to a VW parts dept & ask them. U can order whatever parts u need online & probably save $ but call & find out what parts u really need. If its needs a certain paint color only the dealer will be able to order the original parts or u may have to have it painted to your want. Good Luck

what sort of engine do u have. in a tdi it is just in front of the engine right in the middle on the top. looks like a black cap on a silver cylinder, the cap screws of with a oil filter fillement inside. 1.4 petrol it screwed into thre block beside the alternator at the front of the engine. 1.6 and 2.0 at the front of the engine screwed almost stright up also in middle and seen easy from under car.

LA7W and 8E are both codes for silver. 8E was also used in mid-80's for beige, but in 2000's was used for reflex silver. good luck
