What do you mean by cutoff, describe what happened? did you check the oil level? how many miles on engine, is check engine light on? it might be a engine control sensor went bad or computer, describe everything to get better idea, and engine codes can be checked at most chain auto stores for free.

The Starter silenoid is probably what the problem is. And the knocking could that be a loose starter? The two problems doesn't seem connected.

SOURCE: Oil light comes on, then engine ticks, then car cuts off

When you got stuck in the snow did it impact hard (quick stop or small drop like a deeper ditch)? If this is the case it could be the sending unit might have been dammaged in some way. I would have the shop take a look at.

SOURCE: I HAVE 02 TRAILBLAZER LTZ, AND IT JUST STARTED

Hello, I see you have a trailblaber with a knocking noise. It sounds like you have an electric fan clutch issue. Believe it or not your vehicle has an electric fan clutch. It looks just like the older non-electric but if you look on the driver side of the fan shroud that is the wire connector you see. It is an exspensive part just for the clutch but thats exactly what you are describing. It doesn't get louder just fast with rpms. Please rate my answer, Thank you

SOURCE: Oil pressure light is blinking.

It's very possible a coincidence and that the flashing oil light is the oil pressure switch. I'd check it out immediately to make sure there's sufficient oil flowing through the engine. Merely jump starting the car shouldn't have knocked anything loose so to be on the safe side, assume there's an oil pressure issue. You were right to not use the car in the interim.

2006 Trailblazer won't start, no dash lights and doesn't turn engine over

Get safety glasses ..,protective gloves...Disconnect battery cables..,Clean cables and inspect for wear...If you don't have proper cleaner you can pour coka cola on them to dissolve acid build up...,clean with wire brush,rag...Check battery for proper voltage...A low battery will cause this problem...Also a bad connection at battery cable endsUse a voltmeter,multimeter...etc...I have to say it's a bad battery...Make sure battery cables are good and tight without over torque.....

I have all the same symptoms of a bad starter but the starter is new. 02 chevy trailblazer

Assuming the battery voltage is ok, the most likely problem is a bad earth. connect a jump cable from the battery negative terminal to the engine, if it starts trace the engine earth cables looking for the trouble.

Why is my car powering down while driving

Keeping it short and simple. Check your battery voltage, looking for about 12.4 vdc with the vehicle not running, about 14.3 vdc with the engine running. It sounds like you may have a bad alternator. Depending on what your voltage readings are will determine what's going on. Do you have to jump the battery to start it again? If you jump it and can start it. Then take the jumper cables off and can't start it then your battery is bad because it won't hold a charge. If you can start it without a jump and it just dies that would most probably be an alternator. Keep it simple to start, first battery then alternator. Beyond that you may have a way bigger electrical issue.

My 2006 chevy trailblazer 2wd 6cyl wont start. makes clicking noise, then nothing lights/radio etc work but wont start what is it

You got a jump and it ran fine? It's your battery. The lights and radio are much easier for a battery to handle than spinning a car engine. Again, if all you needed was a jump, you have a bad battery.

2004 Trailblazer will not start. Battery and fuses check out to be good.Tach and speedometer jump around when starter is engaged.

Hi!!

It sounds like your battery is ether LOW or the wiring is loose. Check battery cables to be tight and free of corrosion, also check for loose wires to the battery and alternator. if everything is OK, jump start vehicle. If problem persists, take vehicle ot an AutoParts store to have Starting and Charging Systems checked. (no charge).

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

I have a 2006 trailblazer engine light on when started runs for about 3 sec. then cuts off.

First of all, what cuts out, the "check engine" light, or the engine itself? If its the ck eng light it sounds like an intermittin problem that in most cases cannot be resolved with a code scanner. Have you disconnected the battery to reset that light? If not, then do so (usually the ground cable) for about 10 min., then re-connect the cable and your ck eng. light will be off. ck eng. lights generally have to be constantly on in order to pull codes from the PCM. If there is a problem then the light will come back on.
