3 times in the last week the oil pressure light has came on and the car just quits running. It is as though the transmission quits running. As soon as I turn the motor off and restart, it is fine till the next time the oil pressure light comes on. There are no oil leaks that I have found and the car does not use any oil. It has 50,800 original miles on it.
Hi, your oil pump is malfunction. you will need to replace this vital device asap.

If your engine shuts down for any reason, the oil pressure light will come on. You need to find out if the oil pressure is low or there is another problem causing the engine to stop.I have seen some engines with a low oil pressure engine shut off, but I'm pretty sure you don't have one.
