Backup sensors not working

I have a 2005 Ford Five-Hundred with backup sensors. A few weeks ago the system started shutting off automatically although it would still work sometimes. How do I find out which sensor is bad? What's the procedure for replacing a bad sensor? Thanks

Using a mechanics stethoscope..you can listen to the sensors...listen for the weakest sensor and replace it...the sensors make a faint ticking noise when listened to..the faulty sensor will be noticeably different sounding than others...of course the key need to be in on position and in revers (be careful not to run you self over!)
