SOURCE: O2 Sensor defect

MR988905 costs $300+

SNG O2 sensor is just below $100

they may claim being made with the same quality and both are tagged "direct fit" for easy installation.

its just my idea, good luck.

SOURCE: How many o2 sensors does a Mitsubishi montero

Believe they have two located on the exhaust close to the manifold.
Just had mine replaced and when I went to look that is what I found.
No mechanic here so heed my warning.

2001 Montero Sport up stream oxygen sensor has failed. My check engine light came on and tried to drive vehicle at night and my lights went dim and the truck quit.

This has nothing to do with you O2 sensor. You have more than one problem. An O2 sensor will not cause what you just described. It will cause a check engine light but not the dimming of lights and a stalling issue. Check your charging sytem ( battery and alternator )

How do you change the O2 sensors?

The oxygen sensors, or O2 sensors, on a Mitsubishi Montero Sport are located under the vehicle. Models made prior to 1996 had only one sensor which was located on the catalytic converter, behind the exhaust manifold. Newer models have additional sensors located on the left and right sides of the manifold.

Montero O2 sensor

the SNG-oxygen sensor is the brand of the SN4-123 which is good.

the MR988905 is too expensive since it is like an oem from mitsubishi which is best for an Acura, a little mix up there, but regardless, i'de go for the SN4-123, the last on the list you posted.
