SOURCE: 2004 Ford Escape Electrical problem

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.

SOURCE: Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.

If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords

SOURCE: Overdrive switch blowing fuse on 2002 F150 Ford

Remove the shroud around the steering column and shifter and look closly at the wires coming out of the shifter at the pivot of the shifter, if its not to bad you can tapeit and reposition it and be good to go.

My sister has a 2000 chevy cavalier b4 the door chime and the interior dome light worked now they both dont, we replaced the bulb and fuse to no avail and I have no clue what's wrong with the chime.

the chime actually is done with the radio. the front drivers door speaker. so if the radio works and the front left speaker works. then more then likely you have a defective door switch. located in the door jam that controls the dome light

Where is the fuse for the door ajar chime in a 1998 ford f150 2wd 6 cyl truck? I have a sloppy ignition on this truck, I can start the truck without a key. But until I can replace it I need to take fuse...

Water intrusion causes f150's fuse boxes to corrupt. This is porbably your problem. Mine does the same thing, if you disconnect the fuse to the chime, you will lose your windshield wipers as well.. Check and see if your windshield wipers turn on even with no key in the ignition. Soon your fuses will start blowing left and right. You prbably need a new fuse box. Don't let anyone talk you into replacing it with a used one. My mechanic has replaced it with a used one 5 times to no avail. They were all bad. Afetr paying him almost $300 he refuses to work on it anymore. Even though it still isn't fixed. I even offered to pay the difference for a new fuse box. I have basically been screwed out of $300. So take my advise just pay the $400 for a new one from Ford to save yourself a headache.

My 1995 ford ranger pick up speedometer, radio, break lights, wipers and turn signals dont work

On the ford ranger wiper motor not working, this is how u fix it. I am a licenced autobody mechanic for mercedes and my son bought a ford ranger and of course the wipers were not working-neither did the dome light and door chime.I told my son too replace all fuses ,switch and motor. And still nothing.Remove radio there is a pcm in behind- ours was unpluged. When we plugged it in the door bell would not shut off and the dome light stayed on. In stead of unplugging the pcm remove the light if wd40 does not work on the door latches. And to stop the door bell ringing remove the plastic cover around the ignition and their is a single wire with a blue connector just remove the wire it is the wire closest to the key and tape up the end and problem solved guarenteed . my email is [email protected] I will walk u through it .

Fuse 8 blows, dome lights

There is no relay, you have a short in the system, I have fixed dozens of dome light problems on the Taurus and it was seldom the same problem from car to car, check the door switch wires first, remove the switch and diconnect it, if the short goes away the wiring is shorted to the door switch. I am sorry but there is never easy solutions to this kind of problem.
