Rear speakers have no sound

My radio just had no sound at all and a bad noise coming from the passenger side rear speaker. The next day while we were driving heard some crackling in my front speakers and I can hear music, use my blue tooth and all, but the rear speakers still have nothing. When no sound was coming through I figured it was a fuse, but I can only find a radio fuse and my radio always did function and still does but no rear sound.

No speakers are not fused.. It is most likely a speaker wire that has gone to ground so they would have to be traced to each speaker to see if you can find the short

SOURCE: stereo problems

More than likely a speaker cone is broken in the rear speaker/s. This could be due to a malfunctioning head unit that surged too much power to the rear speakers. I would have your CD player and rear speakers looked at to make sure, before you spend money that you do not have to.

It sounds like a possible wheel bearing failure.Get it checked at a local repair shop ,or possible loose bearing hub.

SOURCE: Radio syst. only plays on front speakers. Are there fuses to rear speakers?

No......if you are certain the radio is adjusted OK for balance and fade, it is most likely the radio has failed. You can put in a new one if it is a standard DIN case size

What would cause the driver side front door speaker and the passenger side rear deck speakers not to work. When if fade the sound all the way to the front with no sound in rear and with the balance turned...

Check the speakers if they work. Connect the speaker terminals using a short wire to a 1.5 volt battery (AA or any dry cell batter) and listen if there's a thumping sound when the wires are connected to the battery terminals. If there's no sound, your speakers are busted. If there's a sound, check if the wires are okay. Use the same method with the battery with the wires from the back of your stereo. Make a small cut on the wire and attach the short wires you used earlier.

Did it fail while you had vehicle, or like this when you bought it? Could be bad radio or wiring harness was chopped up when previous owners had an aftermarket radio installed. They probably just slapped the OEM radio back in when selling car. And didn't put all the OEM wiring back in.
