should be a idle screw on the throttle body. right next to the accelerator cable. also make sure your cable isn't pulled tight keeping the accelerator opened slightly for a high idle
If efi it will be controlled by the cpu settings. If carby it may be either electric element heating a bimetalic spring or heat from the maniflod. Eother way the adjustment will be by loosing off the screws that hold the cap in place and turning the cap slightly to increase spring tension or release spring tension. The direction is imprinted in the cap with arrows.
i had the same problem on my accord 98 coupe 98. and one day they stop working. i changed the engines of the locks and now the doors are working gr8! hope it helps
The tensioner pulley is not turning??? Have you been burning up belts left and right?? Is the belt tight against the tensioner pulley?? You need to check to make sure that pulley is operating correctly. Are you getting good charge out of your altenator?? Is it hard to turn do to lack of power steering?? Have you thrown the belt multiple times?? If that pulley is not spinning there is only to causes for this. Either the pulley is froze, or there is no tension against the pulley. If the pulley is frozen you should be burning up belts often. The tensioner pulley spring is broke and not holding the proper tension. The belt might still be rotating, but the belt will not be rotating the other accessories attached like it should be. My chrysler van has a dual belt set up and yes if the tension pulley is not moving then you will be lacking the rotation need to make the ac compressor operate properly.
Should have minimal slack when cable is pulled by the pedal. You will have to set it by feel. Cable will have nothing to do with fuel mileage, or how it runs. It only controls the throttle blade in the throttle body.
The firing order is; 1-3-4-2 and the rotor moves in a counterclockwise direction. Turn the crank shaft and set the engine at TDC (top dead centre). This ill set the rotor arm pointing at No1 cylinder. From this point you can replace the HT leads in the above order.
