The inertia switch has been triggered.What can I do to solve the problem and why did it happen?.

You owner's manual should give the exact location, but if it doesn't try looking inside the center console, under the front seats, behind the glove compartment or behind the driver or passenger-side kick panels. These are the trim pieces just ahead of your front doors where your foot typically brushes. Push the button on the inertial switch; it should be clearly marked as the fuel pump reset, and may be in a contrasting color to the case. You may need to turn the ignition key to the on or accessory position to energize the module and reset the switch. Proceed to the next step if your inertia switch doesn't use an external button. Remove the inertia switch cover by either prying the plastic clips loose or removing the screws that hold it in place. Inside the switch you'll see one of three things: a button, a circuit-breaker-type switch or a fuse. Push the button or flip the breaker switch back to its original position. If your inertia switch uses an internal fuse, pull the blown fuse out and replace it with another fuse of the same rating

Can you reset the internia switch? Use a proper jumper wire and bypass the inertia switch, engine cranking. If the pump runs, maybe the inertia switch is faulty? jump the dark green wire with yellow tracer to pink wire with black tracer to see if pump will run. Just my opinion.

All vehicles factory equipped with air bags in the passenger compartment are equipped with inertia switches, which, if triggered, deploy the appropriate air bag(s). Please explain why you asked that question.

It should go without saying that it is IMPOSSIBLE to answer your question without first knowing the YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL of your vehicle.
That being said, I am 100% certain that your INERTIA SWITCH has triggered, and you merely need to push the reset button. (The inertia switch will trigger when there has been a collision, and disables your fuel pump to avoid a fuel leak that could start a fire.)

the 1582 code is a flight recorder code meaning that at some point one of the following has happened: the inertia switch has been triggered,throttle body signal has triggered the limp mode,the engine starts but stumble and then shuts off,or engine fail to start,or a engine stall has occured.This is what causes this code.If the issue was resolved,clear the code becuae it can become permanent and although the car will run fine the code will be there without a mil showing.

Check your Inertia switch. It is located behind the passengers toeboard to the right of the transmission hump. It has a push button to reset.
The Inertia switch is for safety and disconnects the fuel pump power when bumped. Sometimes closing a door will falsely trigger the switch.
