Thank you so much for your help. My BM's battery located under the rear seat and ther are a few fuses and relays there appart from the ones located in the engine compartment.Just want to make sure if that is the fuses you are referring to.The other question was if the injectors make a click sound when ignition is turned on. Thanks for your patience. GBY. Callie

Electrical faults in BMW's are too complicated.
If you try and fix it yourself, you may cause more complications to your car.
I would recommend you send it to a shop that are familiar with BMW's to get it fixed.

rcaf arrow:
The clicking sound id probably your starter solenoid. Tis solenoid is actually a relay that connects your starter to the battery so the starter can turn the engine over to get it started.
Try knocking the starter with a hammer, (not real hard, just kinda medium) and see if that makes a difference
I suspect your starter is going bad.
Any indication of prior problems with starting?????

The best thing to do is tuen the key on and teat all the fuses with a 12 volt test light. Replace any fuse that test bad.

hi jim, try lifting up on the driver's outside door handle slowly while turning the key in the unlock position. The lock cylinder design has a cam on it that usually will catch while lifting the handle. if you have no luck on the driver's side, try the same thing on the passenger's side. be patient, it make take a few tries before the door unlocks.

Hi dtkorakbiak,
You will need to remove the passenger microfilter cover under the hood. First remove the filter cover. Then release the tabs holding the delivery tube to the filter housing. The housing lifts up and rotates out out to the side. Under the housing you will find a white plastic cover being held in place with 4 allen bolts. Using a 5mm allen remove the bolts. Once removed, under the cover you will see several control units and fuses and relays. Look for the BROWN relay. That relay is for your wiper/washer system. They do fail after a while. When reassembling the cover. make sure it is seated correctly, if not water can enter the electronics and create problems down the road.
