You may have messed up the electronic settings if you did not remove one end of the battery cable from the battery before charging. this will probably require resetting my the dealer.

98.3hombre battery went dead after a jump it wont start

double posted, why?
JUMPS OK
AFTER JUMP WORKS AND DRIVING, AND STOP AND KEY OFF
IT WILL NOT CRANK.
did i guess right?
that means ,
check all fuses first. even the alt fuse (large)
1-battery bad? #1 top failure all cars.
2-Charge system bad. (is the charge/ batt warn lamp glowing when running car, bingo.????

3-or phantom drains. (if no crank just after stall then it not this) if drains while sleeping yes.

the tests are easy, a dirt cheap voltmeter
13.3v to 15v running is good charge system.
if 12v and falling not.

if the battery is bad, the charge system can shut down, so, the best practice is to try a know
good battery out of 2nd car, do you have battery to barrow, this is TOP CHOICE< not thinner wallet.

if the good battery fails then the charge system is failing (note I said system and not a part)
or the belt missing or slipping to the alternator.

btw the 4.3L PCM runs the alternator
PCM is engine brain.
btww, same true 2.2l engine.
the regulator is in the PCM.

so is the charge/bat lamp in cluster
on key on, lamp test
the jump start it , it runs
does the charge./batt.lamp go out.
id be all over that lamp, costs nothing to look.

Why won't my neighbour's car start the battery was flat but was recharged over night the car will not even turn over and the temperature light is on

check for good connections --battery if it went dead could mean battery gone and wont hold charge --need to have battery tested --sometimes theirs not a proper connection while using charger and battery doesnt charge ---

My 2001 chevy suburban just went totally dead and wont start

Look at both of your battery cables to see if there is any built up corrision around the post. Next, check to see if your battery is charged and if it will hold a charge with a battery recharger

Engine wont start right up take few minutes engine runs like **** longer it runs better it runs then today that altanater light comes on and battery goes dead so i went to charge it wont charge the...

the alternator is definately bad, if it ran your battery dead like that, and of course as you can tell your battery is trash and needs replaced.. not sure what to tell you on how it runs, considering once it warms up it runs good.

I was driving down the road and my motor stopped

the alternator may of went bad and stopped charging so the car died when the battery went dead. Charge the battery and test to start with. Are you saying wont turn over ot turns over and wont start. If it turns over and wont start then it could be several things. Will need to get it diagnosed to be sure

Car wont start

Sounds like you have a shorted wire causing a drain. I recommend disconnecting the alarm all together which should stop the short so battery can remain fully charged.
