Removing cabin air filter from 1996 es300
Pull the carpet away (next to the accelerator) and exposed the cover to the filters.
There's a one inch by five inch vertical strip that you see. That strip has two tabs on the top. Squeeze those two tabs and pull upward. The plastic cover will slip off after you squeeze the two tabs.
Then remove the bottom filter. Pull that halfway and bend and pull the other half out. So now pull the other tab down, and repeat again. Pull that halfway and then bend and pull it out.
