Pull the carpet away (next to the accelerator) and exposed the cover to the filters.
There's a one inch by five inch vertical strip that you see. That strip has two tabs on the top. Squeeze those two tabs and pull upward. The plastic cover will slip off after you squeeze the two tabs.
Then remove the bottom filter. Pull that halfway and bend and pull the other half out. So now pull the other tab down, and repeat again. Pull that halfway and then bend and pull it out.
Good luck and  hope that makes sense.

My 1996 Lexus ES300 ac blows cold for a while then starts blowing warm air. Then I turn it off for a while

There are a number of possibilities.
1. If the compressor has a clutch, do you hear it engaging and disengaging?
2. The valve controlling the hot water going to the heater which mixes warm air with the cold air from the evaporator, is not working properly so it si not maintaining proper temperature.
3. THe temperature sensor that senses air temp at the intake to the AC in the cabin is defective.
4. THis is too comlicated to fix yourself, so you need to take it to an AC expert who knows this particular model.

I have 2000 ES300

Can't find the ''cabin air filter'' on my 1996 Honda Odyssey

A 1996 Honda Odyssey is not equipped with a cabin air filter. If I was looking for a restriction in the cabin air, the first place I would look is on the inlet side of the A/C condensor. ALL cabin air travels through the A/C condensor ALL of the time. (The heater core only sees air when the temp door is not directing the air around it and always after it has been through the condensor first.) I have seen gunk as hard as concrete clogging the condensor just from layers of dirt that collects on the wet coils then dries.

Need instructions on replacing a drive belt and a cabin filter for a 2006 Toyota Corolla S

The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box, you will have to remove the glove box, behind the glove box is a cover about 1" high and 7" long, remove that cover and you will see a tray that holds the cabin air filter, remove the tray and you can replace the paper cabin air filter, I recomend using a Toyota cabin air filter, the Toyota cabin air filter is a HEPA air filter and is available at any Toyota dealer for about $ 30

Do not know location of cabin air filter in Lexis 2001 Es300

It isn't behind the glove box or under the hood. The cabin air filter is located on the driver side down by your feet directly next to/to the right of the gas pedal. You'll have to pull the carpet down to access it, don't worry,it wont damage anything and you dont need to remove any of the plastic trim covering the carpet. Once you pull the carpet down you'll notice a squarish white panel. Remove this panel and you'll be able to see the air filter inserted into the housing. This is only the bottom filter however. This car has 2 air filters. There is another one sitting directly on top of the filter that you initially see out of view. After you remove the first filter make sure you get the other filter out of the top. I had a horrible time reinstalling this first filter back into the top section. It can be tricky getting it into the groove properly. Just be patient if it gives you a hard time.
