How can I siphon the gas out of my old car? The gas isnt old and the tank is almost full. At the moment it doesnt run.

If the old gas is bad you should remove the tank, dump the gas, and clean the inside of the tank. You may have to siphon the gas to get to the point where you can manage the tank to remove it.

Most cars have an anti siphoning device in the filler tube that resembles a screen so you can't put a tube down to be able to siphon gas out of the tank.

if you cannot get a hose down the filler tube to use as a siphon(anti theft fitted) and there is no drain plug in the tank then a suggestion I can make is to remove the fuel hose from the outlet side of the pump and connect a long hose from there to your fuel tank and turn the fuel pump on. It may take a while but it will work

You will have a difficult time since most gas tanks have like a check ball in them. The only way I've been able to somewhat easily siphon gas from my gm vehicles, was by almost uninstalling the tank.Otherwise, it take a lot of trying but you may be able to snake the siphon hose through the breather hose along the filler neck.

You need to siphon the gas from the car. DO NOT TRY TO START THE CAR ANYMORE. It could be very bad for your engine. You need a shop to siphon the gas out of your car. Call them immediately.

You will have to obtain a siphon kit from your local auto parts store and siphon the gas out of your gas tank, you will need to drop your gas tank out of your vehical, the electronic fuel pump is located inside the gas tank, the reason for removing the gas out of the tank is because of you try and remove the tank with it halfway full or full the tank will be to heavy and you run the risk of dropping it and ripping off the delivery and return lines as well as the electrical connections for the pump from the vehical, so make sure you have a way of draining the gas it will make your job much easier as far as removal of the tank is concerned......

You should check your Fuel Pump Relay first. If that is good, the fuel pump is in your gas tank. You will have to drain the tank and remove it to replace the unit.

If the point you disconnect the pipe from the motor is higher than the top of the gas tank you will not have a leak.
If you still want to drain the tank, you can get a hand siphon pump from a hardware or big box store and use it to siphon the gas out through the gas tank inlet. Drain into a certified gas can. No smoking.

Bypass/jumper the fuel pump relay, disconnect the supply line to the injectors and turn the key on, it will pump the tank dry in about 10 minutes if it's full. You can't siphon a newer car due to the anti-siphon design of the filler neck.
