Flywheel bolts (always use new bolts)
15Nm / 11 lbf/ft
Then a further 40 degrees of bolt head rotation..

fly bolt torque, 1990 2.3L

I have seen this problem many times, people change clutches but don't machine the fly wheel. this causes a shudder or the other thing is a crack in the fly wheel or pressure plate, sorry but transmission out fly wheel off to be machined, new clutch and pressure plate

did you snug the bolts befor torquing threm all down and did you torque them in a cross bolt pattern

Put car on lift while running and listen for sound. May be dust shield off of torque converter hitting fly wheel or a loose fly wheel bolt.

The torque converter bolts to the flex plate at the rear of the engine. It supplies the link between the engine to the transmission.

there is a cover at the bell housing of the gearbox! remove its bolt then access the thin fly wheel! there are bolts that attach it to the torque converter! remove all as you rotate the fly wheel! pretty simple!

the flywheel is 50 -60 ft.lbs....pressure plate is 15- 25 ft. lbs..
