Your vehicle is equipped with an oil pressure switch (not a sending unit) and it is located directly above the oil filter.

Where is the oil pressure sending unit 94 grand cherokee limited v 8

The oil pressure sending unit is located in the block of your engine. You'll find it close to the oil filter is attached.

It's approximately 1 1/2 inch in diameter and will appear to be made of plastic which most of them are.

Attached to the sending unit will be a wire with two conductors. The wire is attached to the sending unit via a clip so that it can be pulled gently off, the sending unit removed with the correct sized socket and replaced with a new one in reverse order.

Be careful when removing the sending unit because like I said above, some are made of plastic, and are usually formed around metal.

Clean the engine block surface around the area of the unit, and be sure to apply a little bit of oil to the block contact surface of the sending unit (just as you would when putting on a new oil filter).... This assures a leak-proof seal.

You will want to do this while the engine is cold so that you don't burn yourself with hot oil, or metal components.

It's easy to fix, and the part costs about $9.00 at Advance Auto Parts.

If you use a ramp... Be sure to chock your rear tires, and use your parking break so you don't get run over if the vehicle slips out of gear.
Same goes with a jack... but be sure to use jack stands...

Hope this Helps!

Having trouble locating the oil sending unit to replace it. On a 1992 Honda Civic DX 1.5 engine.

Under hood, center, lower engine area, mounted in oil filter adaptor,it will have single wire going to it.

I can't get my 94 civic lx to start I changed the spark plugs and ditirbutor. Still won't fire but will turn overr. It gets fuel because I can smell it

I would check your ignition coil or replace it. It might be fairly inexspensive. It is located underneath the distributer. you will need an ohmmeter.

Where is the OIl Filter located on a 2003 honda civic Lx

THE OIL FILTER IS LOCATED ON THE PASS SIDE OF THE ENGINE OR (IF YOU STAND FACING THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD BE YOUR LEFT) TOWARDS THE BOTTOM EASIER ACCESS FROM BELOW.

Where is the oil pressure sensor located

Oil pressure switch or oil pressure sending unit.most cars have both.If it has one wire it is an oil pressure sending unit. if it has a plug with 2 or more wires it is an oil pressure switch and sends a signal to the inboard computer. Remove the wire either a nut or usually a plug.some sending units take a special socket but if you can get a wrench on it turn it counter clock wise and unscrew it. When you get the new one it will have a red material on the threads, this is a sealant.thread the new switch snug and put you plug back on.The sending unit or oil pressure switch is located next to the oil filter. Good luck and keep me posted, Auto Zone will have this part and also have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done.

More than likely (and we will hope) it is the oil sending unit. In comparison it is a very cheap and quick fix to replacing the oil pump. Auto Zone has a pretty good componet location section that has tips for replacement if you cant find the sending unit or the oil pump. Try that first it may save you a lot of work.
