I had a fuel pump problem and got this resolved. I drove the car for about a solid month. One day after coming home from work, I pulled in the driveway, turned off the car and went inside. About 1/2 in hour later came back out to run to the store and it would crank but not turn over. I had about 1/2 tank of gas. Later that night I checked all the connections and fully charged the battery. The car did start, drove fine, turned it off and went to bed. Next morning, didn't work again. The weird thing is is sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And when it starts it starts very easy and good. Before replacing the fuel pump I replaced all the spark plugs. I can reassure you the car starts very easy when it wants to crank over. Could this problem be related to the Ignition Control Module (ICM). The car cranks but occasionally won't start. And when it does start it rides all over without stalling. Yesterday after starting it I let it run idle then turned it on / off about five times. All five times it started. The next morning I tried again and it would not crank!! Very confusing. Please give me some ideas and things to check. Thanks.
Check the fuel pump relay! It sounds like it is one of your relays. If it was an electrical or sensor problem, the check engine light would be on.

You are probably on the right track with the ignition module. I would go pick up a cheap, inline spark tester and next time it wont start, connect the tester (which takes 10 seconds) and have someone turn the key while you check for spark. If there is no spark then you know that either the ignition module is junk or there is an intermittent ECM signal to the ignition module. Check it out and let us know what happens.
