Turn key to position 2. scroll to the odometer reading with the page button on the steering wheel. use the arrow key to scroll up to a or b service screen( should say service a past due etc.) hold the r button(beleive it is on the r side of cluster) untill screen says press r to confirm service then release the button and press one time. the screen takes approx. 10 seconds of holding the button before it goes to the reset screen. they are all very similar it may or may not say r on the button if no r the button is just solid black.

SOURCE: Time for service B on my 04 C230 is this more than an oil change?

during the b service you replace the a/c dust filter and perform the oil change. To reset turn key on and scroll with page buttons on steering shell until you see the odometer reading(normal).next scroll up with arrow keys until you see the service interval screen. There should be a black button on the cluster possibly imprinted with an "r" hold that button until the screen displays -do you want to reset service interval. Release button and press again. You must hold that button for approx. 10 seconds before it will ask if you want to reset. Hopefully I have been helpful

I have ust serviced my 2001 volvo s40 and now the

did the sevice light come on before you serviced it? when you "serviced" it I assume you changed the oil and now need the service light reset.
I bought the 1998 S70. it got time to change the oil. Being how I am I changed the oil myself. I had to call dealership about resetting the service light.
they said $29.96.
I said 29.95?!!! how much if YOU would have changed my oil and reset the light?
they said $29.95.
so I learned you need to access the OBDII to reset the light.after service. hope this helps.
