How do I get the spark plugs out of a 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6 so I can tune it up? can anybody help me? Desperate...
Cant get to the back spark plugs on a 1998 v6 toyota camry
Do you not have a repair manual for your car? That would be the first step
Spark Plugs are located in the upper rear part of the engine. Because it is a V-6 engine, it is labor intensive. If I were you, I would pay for the mechanic to work on it. Same application with the fuel filter, located directly below the brake fluid reservoir. Labor intensive as well. 4-Cylinder Camry is a lot easier to perform tune-ups than the V-6. I had a 1988 Camry 2.0
4 cylinder and now I have a 2003 Camry 4 cylinder and a 1998 V-6 Camry 4 cam. I love the V-6 over the 4 cylinder because of its horsepower, but it is not fun to work with. Take it to a mechanic, you will thank yourself for it later.
On my 96 the plugs can be removed from the back side from underneath.
This is a job for the experienced machanic. Be sure that anti-seize grease is usen on spark plug threads.
