I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra, I recently got the P1446 Code on it, I checked the gas cap and was even able to refuel the car without any problem.

SOURCE: fuel like issue; nissan sunny (sentra) b14

First from the fuel tank in side the fuel tank there is filter remove the screws on the top where the fuel gauge fitted when you remove gauge you can see fillter that is one sometimes blocked.

Next if you check fuel filter it is ok, but nissan sunny has fuel filter inside the caburator where fitted fuel pipe from the fillter clean that filler.

ather thiing is check your connections any leak or loose.

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8 Crankshaft Sensor

difficult to diagnose withoutcar in front of me,best advice is what i said to another woman with a merc--get dolled up to nines and go to a local repair shop and start crying ,always works unless your unlucky enough to get a *** mechanic, and after 40yrs in trade their are not many *** mechanics that i have worked with, weird ones yes but ***?? Or take vehicle to nissan agent as the mechanics their will have product knowledge of the make and should be able to diagnose it in seconds. This is favourite of mine and that is if a particular model is playing up i will try to get into workshop to ask mechanics ,failing which i wait in local cafe at breakfast time and try to collar one their.

SOURCE: service engine code P0302 2000 nissan sentra

I would check that spark plug, and have that coil checked or replaced. Also check for any vacuum hose leaks in the area of the cylinder.

SOURCE: My 2004 nissan sentra will

P0183 = Fuel temperature sensor A circuit, high input

P0455 = evaporative emission (EVAP) control system leak detected (no purge flow or large leak)

P0463 = fuel level sensor circuit, high input.

Check to see if the charcoal (evap) canister is full of fuel. If so, empty it. Check for a faulty canister vent valve. Check for a short to ground in wiring to fuel temp sensor and fuel level sensor.

My 2004 nissan sentra has a code reading p0447

This error means that there is a leak in the evaporator system. Check first the gas cap if it is worn out and check for the lines that goes to and from the gasoline tank.

Code pd 455

It means a large evaporative emissions leak. It could be a leaking or broken vacuum leak, or a bad seal on the gas cap even. Clear the code and see if it comes back. If so you can replace the gas cap and inspect vacuum lines for leaks. Replace any that are questionable.

Service engine soon light is on

Most Dealers/Garages will run a Code Tester on them for free to tell you why the code has came up.

As littler as a missfire with the ignition or even problem with your gas cap, even if the gas cap is not on tight it can show the code, if you recently got gas just before it came on, thats most likly the reason.
Just remove your gas cap and put it back on and make sure it clicks 3-4 times.

The code won't go out right away, but after a day or so of a few starts and stops.

Smelling gas fumes in car after fuel pump was replaced

it is likely that the access plate that the pump is under is not sealed, most likely the O ring seal got installed wrong or cut and gas is leaking by it, not enough to drip on the ground but enough to smell.
