if your volvo has a/c it could be the fluid in the lines. or the drip tray under the heater is blocked.. if it has no a/c it and its been hot it could be the dash oil thats from when it was manufactured. uselly drys out but can come out over time due to weather.
Head gasket do you see oil in the antifreeze or antifreeze in the oil on the dip stick do you you have white smoke coming out the tail pipe then its your head gasket Volvo's tend to have this problem .

Running hot can indicate a number of problems ranging from low coolant to a defective thermostat to a blown head gasket. A few quick things to look at would be coolant level (look in the overflow bottle or ensure the car has had ample time to cool off before removing any cooling system components, including the overflow or radiator cap). If the coolant level is normal, I would check the engine oil on the dipstick. If it appears milky or foamy, you have likely lost your head gasket. If both of those appear normal, let me know, and I will guide you further.
Volvo had a bad run of radiators from 1999-2001. I have had 4 different models in those years, and all the radiators failed in exactly the same manner and in the same spot. On the passenger side of the radiator, easily seen by looking from the engine to the front of the car, about 8 inches from the top of the radiator there was a split which leaked coolant, not much at first, but it got worse with driving until I couldn't keep coolant in it.
Volvo also has issues with oil leaks, particularly from the cooler attached to the oil pan on the back side of the motor, and from the crankcase ventilation system. I would need to know, specifically, where the oil is coming from, as that will indicate which system would need to be investigated further.
As always use extreme caution when lifting vehicle, but I have found that the easiest way to lift my car for oil change is to put jack under the cross member under engine.
there is a transitorized swith under passenger side dash right by the transmission hump there is a connector that goes into the duct work that is probable shorted out and supplies ground to one side of the blower motor. new part costs about $ 80
Most common cause of ticking in these is the oil pick-up seals. Remove the pan and replace the oil pick-up tube seal, the two seals for the tube in the pan and the 2 O-rings on the right side of the pan. And dont use silicone to seal the pan back up, because it WILL leak, I highly recommend the Volvo sealant
the only correct info is at volvo web site ,pay the 3 days and read the info,/or give us more info on pipe leaking,if its a turbo car pass side?is oil lines that leak/drivers side trans cooler lines? what type,color fluid?
