2005 equinox awd wont go into 4 wheel when the front tires break loose

Usually when the front tires spin the back tires kick in , well they won't. The front tires just sit and spin on a snow covered hill, we checked the fuse and it is fine, is there anything else we can check , before taking it to a shop?

it does not have a switch or lever to kick it into 4- wheel yourself.

Most new vehicles can kick in automatic but with that model the 4WD might have to be manually kicked in somewhere on the dash area. did you look at the links that have fuses in them you will have to refer to a manual with your model vehicle to find the links with fuses. Hope that helps

I had the same light issue a few weeks ago. There is just a single light bulb with dual filaments for the high and low beams. All you need to do is replace the light bulb. The instructions are in the owners manual.

SOURCE: 2005 Equinox steering wheel shakes when applying

have the rotors machined, shaking when braking is an indication of a warped rotor or drum, even though it may look ok, the rotor can still be warped, it would be a good idea to have the rotors/drums machined and new pads installed if the old ones are 4-5/32'nds or lower. that should take care of your shaking when braking issue

When spidometer hits 100km, front passenger wheel wobbles

Check for worn out tire and/or broken belt in tire. If ok, suspect balance problem or worn front end parts/wheel bearing issue

Removed lugnuts but a tire will not come off the vehicle . The parking break is off, but the rear wheel will not spin. I turned the ignition on and the parking break light was not on. I lifted the parking...

Your rear wheels are not spinning because they are the drive wheels (they're connected to the transmission). If your car is in park, or any gear you will not be able to spin them unless you're the Hulk.

Your rear wheels are not coming off (probably) because there is corrosion between the wheel and the hub. The easiest way to break it loose is to put the lugnuts back in about 3/4 of the way. Lower the car down so the jack is no longer supporting the car. It may come loose from the weight, or you may need to roll the car a few feet, that usually does the trick. Alternatively, while the car is jacked up and the lug nuts are off (parking break on, and jack stands secure, hit the wheel on the inside hard with a rubber mallet, sometimes that will work too (be sure you are not under the car when you do this incase it slips off your jack stand).

2005 Equinox: 2005 chevy equinox vibration at low speeds...

A low speed vibration is likely caused by a tire. Check to see if any rims are bent. Have the tires checked and replaced as necessary. If the tires are worn unevenly have an alignment done. If this is an AWD model check the driveshaft and support bearing.

I have takenlug nuts off and cap off andcannot get tire removed from 2006 toyota tacoma 4 x 4

Hello.
Try heating the the back of the wheel and the studs up with a propane torch to expand the metal and see if it lets go. You also may need to take a mallet and hit the wheel from the backside. A tip would be to take some liquid wrench or PB Blaster and spray the back of the wheel and the studs down to lubricate the rust and whatever is holding it to break the wheel loose.
Hope this helps!

Romoved lug nuts, but tire will not come off. Has

its not unusual to have the wheel stuck in place by grime and rust or cooked on greese .. make sure the van is secure with jack stands and tire blocks to make sure it cant move .. then you can kick the tire or hit it with a rubber mallet.. sometimes you have to use a bit of effort but it will break loose ..you can **** it from the top then front then back and bottom .. that should pop it loose ... its unusual but if it doesnt come loose then you can rent or buy a special wheel puller ... this attaches to your wheel then puts force via the lug bolts to force the wheel to break loose as you tighten it .. dont try to drive without lug nuts in place .. you could take it to a garage or friend that does mechanical work . they likely wont charge you for breaking it loose .. ..

T/c popped up on my dash this mornng

No T/C stands for traction control all it does is keep your back tires from spinning on wet surfaces. I turn my off. All it does is slow the motor down so your wheels if they are spinning they can get traction.
