I have not seen a power steering unit located on top of an engine usually they are on one side of the motor. I will need more info like is it drops of fluid or a spray pattern of oil or spatter???? where on the motor besides top is the oil top front top back??? Please don't take this wrong , I just have questions without seeing it its somewhat difficult to actually know what's going on with the oil and color of oil is it thin or thick fluid???

SOURCE: I have a 2003 Ford

It might be the rack and pinion kit (seals)

I had this problem 2 months ago... replaced the powersteering pump 3 times until I convinced the mechanics to look at the rack and pinion. there they found the leak, especially when I turned the wheel.. They first kept telling me there was air in the lines and it would go away. but that never happened.

a pressure line on a power steering pump would be blasting the fluid out,, not just a small leak,, and with power steering hoses, your b est best is to replace the line as factory specs call for,, I have a honda that for some unknown reason they decided the PS hose needed to go all the way around the back of the motor, and back within 8 inches of where it came from to the steering arm,, silly I know, But that way its costs 10 times as much ,

Looks like an oil leak above steering rack. Is

Check out the steering fluid at the rubber hose connecting to the metal hose. It gets deteriorated and made some leak. When the car is traveling, it could splash everywhere. Try to tighten the clamp. If it doesn't work, replace that rubber hose and a clamp. If it is a case have the steering fluid flushed out to get a new fresh fluid for your steering.

96 blazer stalls only when turning left.also gas gauge reads 1/2 tank when it is full.fuel pump & filter replaced, two o2 sensors also replaced

Have you tried replacing the filter and power steering fluid? also that is a year were some had the hydrostatic steering pump and if a check valve is leaking it would or could cause your problem. And it would be only when you were going to turn, since in the straight forward position there is little Resistance to the power steering pump.
