get the
cabin air filter of ur endeavor changed by following method.
Procedure to Remove the Old Cabin Filter
First off, you need to open the glove compartment; you'll see two screws
on top of the glove compartment and two at the bottom of it.
Remove each one of them one by one with the help of a Phillips
screwdriver, and then unhook the stop bar which you can find on the
right side of the glove compartment .
Next, pull the glove compartment out - while pulling the glove compartment out we disconnect the light wire .
Now, you should be able to see two tabs on both sides of the cabin
filter which we press towards the middle of the compartment and then we
remove the cabin filter cover . After this, slide the filter out of the
housing .
Putting the New Filter In Place
Now, you can easily insert the new filter in the filter housing making
sure the "up" arrow printed on the filter points towards the roof of the
Endeavor and then we replace the cabin filter cover.
Next, insert the glove compartment back into the dash and while it is half way through you need to reconnect the light wire.
Finally, reconnect the stop bar over the hook and finally replace the
four screws to hold the glove compartment firmly in place. And, that's
it - you've just learned how to change cabin filter in Mitsubishi
Endeavor.
If I understand you correctly, the "air cleaner" compartment housing, after unclipping, does NOT seperate into two separated halves. I don't see any "hinge" or clips on the bottom. Sorry, I just want to be sure so I don't break the housing removing the filter. Thank you for your comments.
