I have the same car and had the same problem with the engine wanting to stall out, I ran fuel injector cleaner through it and also an octane booster, i also changed out my plugs and wires and belts because i was also having the occasional squealing sound after i did all of that all of the problems have stopped and now my car runs like a champ

Sounds to me like a fuel related problem. When heavy accelerating more fuel is pushed through the system. I would check the fuel filter, and its possible its the fuel pump, but usually once the pump starts acting up, within a few days it will go out all together.

fuse or wire harness, checked the voltage present in the fittings? Switch on before checking.

Yes, I experienced the same thing with mine... you have to losen the 2 motor mounts on that side and lift the motor up about 3 ". I worked at a garage so I had access to an engine hoist. Try using a jack from underneath. Nice engineering from Mazda!!!

Sometimes if its the factory harness, you can see fine print on the wires telling what each wire is for. If not, remember, red is hot, black is ground, and your smaller wires all colored purple, brown, gray, green, orange, blue..there will be two of each color, one with a black stripe, that is your ground for the speaker hook up..There also might be a yellow or light blue wire, test that wire for power when the key is off, that is your memory power supply.good luck.
