2000 kia sephia engine stalling

Could be many things-- dirty IAC, bad MAF, bad tune up items, O2 sensor, clogged exhaust, bad TPS.

Clean egr valve, check map sensor, check replace engine temp sensor.

Engine stall or RPM fluctuates at idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

sorry to tell you but you have a blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. that is why the coolant blows out of the radiator and the engine won't start due to engine compression getting into the cooling system.

could be anywhere from coolant temp sensor, throttle pos sensor, idle speed solenoid.

that is a check engine you need to reset or bring on to shop to scan for deleting the ligth

Check the coil packs, I bet one is bad. You have two above the spark plugs, each feeds two cylinders. Easy and fairly cheap fix. I have 125k on a 2000 Sephia and have replaced the right side twice, while still on the factory left.

does it have a check engine light on? if so i would start with getting that code pulled most auto parts stores will do it for free. it could be any number of things that are going wrong with it.

vacuum leak, egr problems, faulty cps... ect

if you don't think it's safe to drive and you can't fix it on your own then i would suggest having it towed to a shop.

Most auto parts stores Advance/ Autozone etc will get the diagnostics codes from cars computer and tell you why the light is on and what the problem is if there is a problem.

try this procedure and let me know if it cures the problem.

Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
