That is a sign of a bad bulb, flashing fast. Check that rear bulb.

your socket may not be grounded properly, I have seen this before, and the simplest way to fix is change the socket with a new one.Not another used one it may also be bad.

SOURCE: Front right turn signal

You need to replace the whole socket. Unfortunately I was told by an auto wrecker that the daytime running lights on the front of the intrigue heat up the plastic in the black socket your bulb sits in and the plastic melts and prevents a proper contact with the bulb. I got a replacement socket and bulb for $15 at the auto wreckers. Money well spent - it is easy to replace! Your bulbs are probably not burnt out.

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Yukon xl......If I put left turn signal

That vehicle has all three switches attached to the same module. Spray a little wd-40 into the flasher switch. Sometimes the slide on the flasher switch gets a little sticky and won't allow the turn signal to work independently. If that isn't the case, there is a repair kit for that available on ebay. the module of course costs around three hundred to replace but could possibly be found at a boneyard for much less. Also, check ebay for that module. Hopefully the WD-40 will fix it. Good luck.

On my grandmother's '98 Buick Century, the right front signal stopped working. Rear right signal blinking fast. I have replaced the front amber bulb and socket and still have same issue.

Could be a wiring problem, or the turn signal switch.
You could check the wiring with a meter, and also by using the emergency flashers. Those use a different circuit from the turn signals on most cars. If the light works using the 4-way flashers, the problem is probably the turn signal switch.
You need to know if the socket has power and ground when the lamp should be flashing.

88 Jeep Cherokee, left turn signals don't work. Right signals flash as they should. Emergency flashers work as well. When the left turn signal is activated, the dash arrow lights up, the front bulb lights...

Quite a puzzle you have that seems impossible, though such things weren't unusual in the old days of bimetal flasher units. The modern electronic flasher relay is designed to flash at a speed dependent on the amount of current drawn by the circuit so if a bulb goes out the speed doubles or thereabouts, giving the driver an indication something is wrong.
Broadly speaking the flasher unit will operate as it is designed within a current range so if there is too much current flowing or not enough it probably won't work at all.

The turn signal switch is usually a very reliable thing and as the left hand lamps light it is fair to assume it is working ok. If the switch is accessible it would be simple to measure the current being consumed by the circuit, which would be nearly 4 amps with the engine running at a fast idle. If it isn't then I suggest you revisit the lamp grounds and other connections.

My instinct is to suspect the hazard warning switch. It is often an unnecessarily complex switch and wiring arrangement and often responsible for turn signal malfunctions. Mostly operating the switch rapidly for a few minutes puts matters right, though if it doesn't I suggest you check the multiway connector behind the switch.

Has the car been in a fender bender ? check for wiring going to the front and rear lights to see if on has rubbed into a ground wire or the body. ( even if there has been no accident.)

Signal lights dont work when breaking

No,this is not normal, this normal when the emergency flashers are on,but not the turn signals.Check the bulbs(all of them)in the rear tail light assembleys. If you can not tell which bulbs are bad, replace them all.Does this vehicle have a trailer light plug?If it does,it could be in it.After the bulb replacement(look at bulbs in your hand to see if filiments are burned)replace the turn signal flasher. To find it turn key on,and left or right turn signal on,and listen, and feel for it under dash around the steering column.

98 Subaru Legacy, right blinker comes on steady, can't turn it off. Left blinker works fine. right blinker will work sometimes and then it goes steday again. Can't be the flasher as I have removed it and...

Pull that bulb out and look closely at it, it'll probably have one of the filaments(Tungsten wires) broken and crossed over to the other one causing a short to power and/or the bottom of the bulb has had the 2 lead contacts melt together. In either case the bulb will need to be replaced. If this doesn't fix the problem please let me know so I can look into it further.
