Flat towing 1993 Dodge Dakota 4x4

I am buying a 1993 dodge dakota 4x4 with the automatic transmission and a 5.2 V8. I would like to tow it behind my motorhome. I was told you put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in park and tow it that way. I hope it is right because I have pretty much bought the truck.
Thank you

That makes sense. The oil pump for the transfer case runs from the driveshaft, and the one for the trans runs from the engine. If you put the trans in neutral, then parts of it may be turning without lubrication.

Other things to watch on those trucks:
The electrical power goes through a splice near the battery and gets corroded.
Transmission lines tend to rust out near the tranny in salt country.

U MUST remove the remove the drive shaft or u will damage the trans, this is true of all modern cars and trucks, have been doing this 35 years and am 100% sure on this.

WHere is the radiator drain plug on a 1993 Dodge Dakota?

Here is a picture and shows the location as

Your radiator drain plug is located on the bottom of the radiator, driver's side engine side. It simply unscrews but does NOT come all the way out.

I have a 98 dodge dakota sport 4x4 with a 5.2l v8. Curious if this can be towed on a dolly with the transfer case in nuetral. Im finding conflicting answers online

Logically with the transfer box in neutral there would be no reason why towing on a dolly would be a problem - unless the centre differential is of the limited slip type. In that case it would be wise to remove a propshaft to avoid damage or use a car trailer.

I suppose much would depend on how far it must be towed and how fast...

It might be wise to try it before it really needs towing.
A suitable alternative method of towing might be towing with an A frame which would have the benefit of keeping all the wheels on the ground and turning and so should eliminate centre diff problems.

Rpm's jump up 200-400 in overdrive and when doing over 55 mph hwy

The rpm variation you are noticing is the torque converter slipping in and out of lockup. Most likely the torque converter clutch is failing, you will most likely need a new converter, if it's got a bunch of miles on it I'd probably freshen up the clutches while I had it out.
