Hi, Joe here to help. The cd changer is at fault. You need to replace the changer. The system is on a fiber optic loop which cuts out the sound if can not complete that loop.

SOURCE: 2003 E class elegance.radio wouldn't turn off now no display

the fuse and power supply box is located on the left side of the trunk behind the little panel. pull the 40 amp fuse for the sound system in that panel in the trunk. I believe its an orange fuse, 5-7 slots from the bottom. should be the only 40 amp fuse on the bottom half of that fuse panel. check the fuse chart behind the triangular panel on the left side of the dash. pull the fuse for 15 seconds and reboot the comand system. if the system doesnt reboot and operate normal, then 1 or more of the audio control modules is taking down the whole system through its fiber optic ring.

My 03 PT radio is flaking out

Sounds like you need the anti-theft code. Usually when you change the ignition you have to put that code in

I have a 1993 Mercedes 300 SE and after I got the radio unlock code from mercedes the radio worked all day just fine. I started the car the next day and the radio had a E 3 message on the display when I...

I dont remember if that year had a theft lock system or not, but I am looking into it. disconnect the negative battery cable for ten minutes and that should get you back to where you can enter the unlock code again and use the radio.

My windshiled wippers ,heater, radio, and turn lights stoped working

THE TROUBLE IS YOUR IGNITION SWITCH. THIS IS NOT THE IGNITION KEY & LOCK CYLINDER. THEY WORK TOGETHER, BUT THE ELECTRICAL IGNITION SWITCH IS ON THE STEERING COLUMN UNDER THE DASH. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE LOWER DASH PANEL & LOWER THE STEERING COLUMN. TO GET TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. GET A NEW IGNITION SWITCH,TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. THE DIMMER SWITCH FOR THE HEADLIGHTS. IS MOUNTED PIGGY/BACK ON THE IGNITION SWITCH. IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE THIS IT'S PRETTY TRICKY. THE ROD GOING IN THE DIMMER SWITCH WILL HAVE TO BE SECURED. IF IT FALLS OUT, THE STEERING WHEEL & A LOT OF OTHER NIGHTMARE STUFF WILL HAVE TO BE REMOVED, TO PUT THE ROD BACK IN PLACE. BOTH SWITCHES ARE ADJUSTABLE SO EVERYTHING WILL WORK RIGHT.

Need code for Audi TT radio because it is in 2 safe mode also turn signals light up but have to work the arm manualy to get them to work

New vehicles are supplied with a radio operating manual. The radio code is printed on a removable card in the manual. If you don't have this the code is only available from Audi dealers. Once you have the code you can enter it by pressing and holding the TP and RDS buttons together until the display shows 1000. Then press the channel 1 button repeatedly until the first digit of the code is displayed in position 1. Use channel button 2 in the same manner to enter the2 nd digit of the code. 3rd button for 3rd digit, 4th for 4th digit. once you have the full code entered, press and hold TP and RDS buttons together again until display reads safe. Release buttons and radio should come on.

I changed the battery in my 05 dodge caravan and now the cd changer doesn't work.it ''gears'' up when you turn on the power but the mode button only recognizes am and fm and not cd any fix?

sounds like a bad radio that shouldnt happen bttery has no effect on changer opperation if the radio powers up the changer should work as long as its a factory radio w an internal six disc changer.

My radio and 6 disc cd changer won't work, it used to have an amp it looks as if the speaker cord was broken and there is notable vibration no matter what gear it is in

Does the radio turn on?

The amp would have been under your passenger seat. There would be a plug and thick wire routed from the radio to the changer and that would be the only wire at the changer location. If this is unplugged, the changer wouldn't work but the radio should still work.

If someone put in an aftermarket stereo system they may have cut the wires at the stock amp to splice into or rewired the car all together.

Check the connections on the back of the head unit. Check the wires going into the amp under the seat.

If those are good, you'll need to remove the door panels to check the wiring at the speakers.

You may want to do a continuity check from tip to tip of wires from the head unti to the amp, amp tot the speakers to insure they are good.
